does not get its results at all because that planet is not really auspicious in that horoscope. 

For example, in the horoscope of a person, there is a Taurus ascendant and in the tenth, there is a Jupiter,

here the general astrologer believes that the tenth Guru is auspicious, so it should get auspicious results,

but in experience, auspicious results are not available. Jupiter is the eighth lord and benefic for Taurus ascendant, so it gives inauspicious results, or it is ineffective. Similarly, the planets have to be considered for other ascendants as well.

Aries Ascendant: Sun, Jupiter are auspicious and Saturn, Venus, Mercury are inauspicious.

Taurus Ascendant: Saturn, Mercury are auspicious and Jupiter, Venus, Moon are inauspicious.

Gemini Ascendant: Venus, Mercury are auspicious and Mars, Jupiter, Sun are inauspicious.

Cancer Ascendant: Mars, Jupiter are auspicious and Venus, Saturn, Mercury are inauspicious.
