There is another legend about Narak Chaturdashi. When Lord Vaman measured the kingdom of the demon king Bali in three steps between the three-day period from Trayodashi to the new moon, he was extremely pleased with Bali's charity. Vamana asked Bali to ask for a boon.

Bali said, Lord, I have given everything to you, now I have nothing to ask for.Still, if you want to give something, then give me a boon for the welfare of the world. That is, you measured my entire kingdom and earth in three days from Trayodashi to Amavasya.

I wish that for these three days every year my kingdom remains and the person who donates a lamp in my kingdom during these three days should have permanent Lakshmi abode in his house and he should not have to face the torture of Yama. Narak Chaturdashi is also known as Roop Chaudas. On this day, before sunrise, there is a law to massage the body with sesame oil.
